@Hovde Great, I was thinking you could do with more knobby tyres there.

Definitely! Just wanted to wring the last out of the stockers, but was starting to get a bit sketchy.. can't wait to feel the difference!

@Hovde Ah, understandable. Keep us posted on the difference. 👍

Will do! I'm away for work for another 1.5 weeks, hoping the snow hasn't come by then..

As I was removing my pannier racks this morning from a recent camping ride, I noticed the clutch arm's retaining snap ring and washer were missing and the arm was partially lifted from the shaft splines. Only the return spring had kept the arm from coming off completely.

I assume the snap ring had lost tension following several removals (initial fitting of the Camel Adv clutch arm kit some time ago, and then my recent clutch plate change out), and came off sometime during my last ride. As a temporary (or possibly permanent) fix, I've secured the arm with .032" safety wire in the snap ring groove. As soon as I get a washer with the proper I.D., I'll install that and then redo the safety wire on top of it.

Just thought I'd provide this info for anyone else who may have removed the snap ring multiple times with the potential for it to go missing also.

Edit: Found the perfect substitute washer; an old BMW final drive drain plug gasket from a previous bike. With the washer under a new safety wire loop, which nestles nicely in the shaft's snap ring groove, the arm is staying put.
