What have you done for your T7 today?

I spent a few nights on evening shift making a new cable guide. I liked the simple design of the original so just copied it, but made it from stainless steel. So I have another little bit that will stay nice and shiny forever 😀

@Just Footerin

i always found this cable guide a bit over done(in size). I saw a slimmer solution here and copied that.

So other than the larger screen, what does this do for you that you cannot get with like a garmin Zumo?

I can use any app I want for navigation. I really like OsmAnd, and Calimoto. OsmAnd is far superior than for example a Zumo, because it allows for true offroad (and onroad) navigation. Calimoto is awesome for onroad routing. And then there's Google Maps... and I can watch Netflix or whatever when I'm in my tent or so. Planning is also improved over a dedicated navigation device, simply because it can be comfortably done on a bigger screen.

An offroad routing capable Garmin isn't much cheaper.

Dropped her for the first time....in the garage.....had a full 6.1 gallons (23 liters) in the tank.....started leaning to one side and there was no stopping her.  I didn't fight it and just let her drop.  Left footpeg/Amazon lowering bracket took the brunt of the impact and the bracket bent.  Aluminium POS!  I needed my wife's help to pick it back up as my back is out of sorts.  What a beast!  Not looking forward to the inevitable crash/es out in the field!  I see there's a stainless steel option with the same offsets available, heavier, but I really like the riding position with the lowering bracket so I might buy it.

Installed Suspension 101's Gobbler kit front and back as a DIY effort.  Back injury is keeping me off the bike....can't wait to feel the difference.

Installed Outlaw Racing's upper and lower chain rollers. Sealed bearing on both ends versus the OEM plastic sleeve and metal bushing.

Had to use a washer between the mounting tab and roller to push it away from the tab as the blue rubber was contacting the tab and not rolling freely.

That sounds like my first drop - in the shed, and I also had my wife help me picking her up 😂

It gets easier in the field!

My mind was calibrated to the effort and relative ease with which I can pick up my 270ish lbs WR450.....not a chance with this beast!!

Have the same tire on my off-road wheel set (for over a month now) just waiting to see the dirt☹️

The Scorpion Rally is my go to front.

That tyre had seen about a 50/50 dirt and bitumen.

I got very lazy before my last ride ( 1600km ).

It was a good mix but some of the forest roads were hard razor-edged stone and one of the tar roads was an experimental with powdered glass ( for frost traction ).

The last 500km were very sketchy and cornering was interesting.

Thanks for that hint. I found a set of 2 on amazon.de with nearly identical dimensions  36 x 25 x 8 mm vs OEM 35 x 24 x 8 mm. The bearrings are certainly chinese "quality" and will be replaced by some real bearrings.

Are you saying the bearings in the new ones from amazon are not so good or the originals?

id probably like to swap mine out for some of these and see they are available on Amazon uk too

No, it's different as you can see in SXXP's post. Bushing vs bearings.

If you buy cheap machinery from China it's the first you have to replace before use. If the bearings are replaceable I certainly will do that before they wear out or brake.

Agree completely. Decent bearings aren't expensive and will be much more reliable.

If the chain and suspension is adjusted correctly, it's not on the rollers unless full droop or compression.  Plus, a slider acts like a guide.  If there was a difference, wouldn't race bikes have rollers?

Are you talking Dakar race bikes? The stress on those rollers is surely a potential failure point so might as well eliminate it.

Got a picture of it mounted?

I wasn't that happy with my attachment points for the Reckless 80. So I built my own ones.

V1 wasn't good cause it interfered with the boots while standing up:

V2 is a bit farther behind, there is still some interference but much less:
