If anyone is interested in anything Nelson-Rigg, and lives in the USA, I have a code for 15% off. Maybe free shipping too. Their Trails-End tank bag is the first thing I've purchased for my bike, and it's great.

Did you buy the adventure or enduro version? Looking to buy one myself.

I bought the "Trails End Adventure Tank Bag RG-1045"

T7Devon is the code, if you want to use it.

Great thread for a new owner that isn't a huge fan of tail bags or backpacks for day rides. Thanks to all!

I pulled the trigger on the small 6L Tusk. Seemed good at a good price.

Plenty of time to buy a fancier one, once I get my feet back under me -- my last tank bag was an Eclipse on a Suzuki GT550! 🤣

I bet more than a few of the old geezers on this site (myself included) have an old Eclipse bag stashed away somewhere...

@JiXX If you can find the time, posting a review of your Large Tusk tank bag, would be appreciated.  Trying to decide between the Large or Small one. Thx.

@AZJWI went the Large cause I had a small tank bag on a different bike years ago and I wish I bought the larger one. This bag has heaps of room. The only issue I have with it, when standing my beer belly hit its, but beer is so so good. It sits really well to the shape of the tank. I really like the phone cable grommet for charging electricals. IMG_20210908_191815.thumb.jpg.8af686cb88356276e09a77a15a2dd497.jpgIMG_20210908_191843.thumb.jpg.645ba0712b2393e370b3758c3af369b4.jpgIMG_20210908_191808.thumb.jpg.2161e287eea7fef73dac79da516ccaa1.jpg

Heres my tusk small, if you squint you can see the original Wolfman enduro on my DR in the background,  that would have been my go to if they still made the original and not the stiff waterproof one.

Anyway,  I used the Wolfman on the T7 before I got the small tusk, I like it as I can position it behind the gas cap and still stand fine, so I don't need to move it for fill ups.

The caveat here is that if your legs are a bit more girthy than mine you may find it a bit in the way. For the most part I just stand above and behind it, but occasionally when it gets rough I need to straddle it a bit.

My only concern with this one is how the clear cover will hold up  over time.

Glad you asked, I've been looking for a picture of the large Tusk mounted up to see if it'll allow refueling without removal like the pic of the small one above. Judging from your post, so does the large.  Any chance you have a pic of that?

Does it interfere or touch the handle bar when you fully turn it right/left?

Can you fill up without detaching the front?

No, but it's not a hassle.

Might see if RMATVMC ships to your neck of the woods.

The Tusk Olympus Tank Bag is the ideal companion for your adventure or touring motorcycle rides. Tank bags are the perfect place to store the items you need the most frequent access to, and the Olympus Tank...

Edit: They do ship to Australia.
